This 1911 has seen some use, there is holster shine on the slide, it operates well by hand all safeties function, slide lock, and grip safety. I was told by one of the Colt researchers, according to his information that this seems to be some sort of military firearm as in those years a commercial firearm's serial number was either proceeded or followed with a "C" there is no such mark in the serial #. Although the gun is not marked Property of US Army, which denoted such military guns. Please contact me with any questions or information needed either by Email or Phone. For the uninitiated the XX hides the last two numbers of serial! As always Shipping/Handling/Insurance, is on the buyer, with Insurance being optional and left to the discretion of the buyer.
