Buyer did not send payment so here is your chance if you missed it! This Marlin 39 Carbine was built 1st year production and one of over just 9000 made before production ceased. This gun was a retirement gift to a Marlin employee,The did a little light engraving on the receiver with his three initials that actually do not stand out as intials as you would think,Pics shows it well.The wood is OUTSTANDING as shown.The gun may look refinished but that is a coat of Ballistol to protect it and fill in any bad spots that may be there which there are none.I use this stuff on all my firearms and you should too.It has not been refinished,the clearcoat shows some (crazing).Can be seen well in pictures. I was told the bluing was only done on a dozen of these rifle as such for special employees. The rifle was purchased in 1964 from the person I bought it from. It was aquired from him two years after the mans passing and he has had it since.Has a factory Marlin scope intalled and missing one adjustment cap.One beautiful rifle you cant take your eyes off of,I know I cant.Feel free w/any questions or more pics,Serial # Y177xx Marlin will send out letter to verify if you want to spend the extra money.
