#19138, Holland & Holland Sidelock Royal Ejector 500/465 Nitro Express Made in 1908 with 26" Ejector Chopper Lump barrels with rib extension third bite, 1/4 rib with 1 standing & 2 folding rear sights, Fold up night sight, London proof at 75 Cordite and 480 grain bullet, Bushed strikers, Double triggers with the front articulated, Brazier back action locks, An extended top strap over the comb, Trigger guard tang to the trapdoor grip cap, 14 9/16" L.O.P. over a 7/8" Silvers pad, Proper weight of 10 lbs. 11 oz., 98% Royal scroll engraving, Excellent plus bores, It is smack on the face and overall the gun looks like the day it left Holland & Holland in 1972, Barrels reblacked at H&H, Stock refinished and very well done at H&H, 35% original case colors; This gun was serviced, stripped & cleaned and shot at Holland & Holland in May of 1972 and produced a 3 x 2" 100 yard group. Before it left H&H they cased it in a leather trunk with a 13 Bruton St. address H&H trade label, their address in 1972. This is a very nice gun and very attractive. This is flat out one nice 465 Royal with super nice bores to compliment a double rifle that has had a long and sheltered life.
