Description:
This is a standard Winchester Model 1895 Sporting rifle that is chambered for the rather scarce and early 38-72 WCF cartridge. Barrel is 26". The rifle is in excellent condtion. The barrel retains at least 90% original factory blue finish with a bit of toning to patina. The receiver is basically a soft clean and smooth patina with some blue in recesses but no cancer. Stocks are excellent, never sanded on with no cracks or chips and proud to metal. Action like new. Strong rifled bore with some frosting but no pittng. Mfg in 1899.
