Description:
NSN, .52 cal smoothbore, 10.3 inch barrel, very good bore. This nice pistol features a capped fluted grip, adjustable trigger, engraving on most metal parts and spur triggerguard. Barrel bottom is marked "J.B." with intertwined "F & E", similar to proofs of Ferlach. Also visible is a "12/.2" stamping. Barrel is acid etched Damascus steel with nice pattern. Lock and hammer show light engraving that matches perfectly. This is in very good condition with light stains, broken nipple, a crack in stock by lock and lockscrew and light marks in wood from use. This pistol has classic late 1860's to 1870's design features with good workmanship, it will look great on display. Antique
