Description:
Serial #B98472, .303 British, 25? barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves. This is a 1941 dated, import marked rifle that has a non-matching bolt and retains about 85-90% of a dark phosphate finish that has faded to bright gray at the muzzle as well as along the high edges and projections. The bolt itself has a commensurate amount of lightly flaked black Suncorite remaining. The buttstock, handguards, and Enfield marked forend have been arsenal refinished to fine shape and have numerous small handling marks and minor surface blemishes, mostly on the buttstock which also has a few minor surface bruises surrounding the buttplate as well. This is a very nice World War II dated Australian SMLE that was arsenal refurbished after the war. FFL or C&R
