Description:
Date on the receiver is 1894. Serial range just under 11,XXX. Cartouche is 1895. I believe the right model terminology for this gun would be 1892/96 carbine. This has the long forearm wood with the filled ramrod slot. This old carbine is in very nice condition with original finish remaining. Blue turning a light plum color. Receiver has some blue with the balance grey. Nice markings. The stock has the large bolt cut out. Stock condition fits the rest of the gun being VG. Some scrapes and dings but not cracks or losses. The mag still displays very nice blue. Typical Krag smooth action and good bore. Nice antique carbine.
