Description:
Serial #14426, .43 Spanish, 36" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This rifle is built on a large No. 1 action and is basically identical to the Argentine Model 1879 but only has Remington company markings (on the top tang). The metal has been very nicely reblued with virtually all of the new finish remaining on the metal and the walnut forend and buttstock are in fine condition with only minor handling marks and surface bruises marring the otherwise fine military oil finish. The action itself is tight and functions flawlessly. The rifle does come complete with a ramrod and is outfitted with a bayonet stud on the right side of the muzzle which should fit the Model 1879 saber bayonet. This is an excellent Rolling Block as refurbished and would make a great addition to any collection. Antique
