J. Purdey Sidelock Ejector. Toplever Hammerless Double barrel 12 bore 3" Pigeon Gun. 31” chopper lump barrels. Self opening action. Concealed third bite. Single trigger with sideclips. Total coverage deep relief engraving by Barre (French Mint Engraver). Exact copy of this particular Gun (engraving undertaken by Kell) was produced in 1926 by Purdey-refer Christopher Austyns' book "Modern Sporting Guns" opposite page 24 Plate 1. Cased in original brass bound oak and leather with canvas outer. Profuse accessories set in original red velour case interior. Excellent original condition. Made in 1912. Lettered. Serial No. 20XXX
