Description:
This is a new (possibly unfired since factory) example of the "double latch" model. It is in factory nickel and was issued by the Railway Express Agecy. It is marked with the agency issue number on the butt and also on the holster which is clearly marked Railway Express Agency - both matching number 629. The gun is an early issue serial number 3646. There are a few areas of "holster storage pitting" as clearly shown in the pictures - some right side - some left side - some on the triggerguard. There is a very small repair on the toe of the right grip - also shown in the photos. The bottom of the grips (optional squared style) is shown to have a very clear patent inscription. Other than those areas the gun and holster are virtually brand new. The cylinder is also serialed to the gun. The bore and mechanicals are perfect - the barrel is 4". Condition shows that the gun was issued and then likely put away in the holster until now. The holster shows no carrying indicators.
