Exceptional original English-cased pepperbox pistol by Charles Jones of 26 ST.James St., London. Engraved with cast metal alloy frame, case-hardened barrels, greened mounts, deluxe English style case with maker's label in lid and virtually all the accessories. The pepperbox measures 8 3/4" overall wih 3-3/8" barrel group of 0.41 caliber, six shots. The barrels have normal fading and aging with considerable areas of rainbow colors showing lightly. The alloy frame is crisp with the high quality engraving Jones is noted for. The pistol is stocked in burl walnut and the grips are very good. The overall condition of the gun is exceptional. It comes with a $20,000 insurance appraisal.
