PRE WW1 COMMERCIAL MAUSER 98 MODEL C ARMY HUNTING RIFLE. 8x57 Mauser caliber 24” stepped barrel which is standard for this model. Two leaf rear and ramp front sights. Double set triggers and sling swivels. Characteristic walnut checkered pistol grip stock with plain schnoebel tipped forend. Fine quality quick detachable claw scope mounts. Unmarked except serial number. Fine to excellent overall with 95% blue and most of the original stock finish. Shows only modest signs of use. Excellent bore and perfect working order including the triggers. Original L&F sporting version of the Army sling with leather covered rear metal keeper.
