The maker's name is engraved in script on the right side of the barrel, "John G. Zimmerman". All blued surfaces are in like new, mint condition, the action is like new tight with a sweet trigger pull and the bore is bright & shiny. Spectacular, high contrast grain pattern runs through the dark French walnut stock. The stock is classic shaped wit h a cheekpiece and a pistol grip to go with the rounded, rosewood forend tip. Beautifully executed, wrap around, fleur di lis checkering generously cover the front and rear grip surfaces. The wood is in excellent condition with some insignifigant finish scratches on the left side above the trigger.
