Description:
Serial #9217x, 9mm Para., 4” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Mauser Banner marked, 1942 dated pistol with sear safety and correct, but non-matching numbered frame and receiver assemblies (numbered “9217” and “5780” respectively). The metal retains 92-95% of the original dark blue finish with some mild silvering at the muzzle as well as along the exposed edges and projections. The pistol has a commercial “(eagle)/N” proof on the left side of the receiver and a further “(eagle)L” Polizei stamp on the right. The black phenolic resin, “Black Widow” grips are in fine shape with only a few minor handling blemishes and some very mild flattening of the points. A single non-matching aluminum base magazine is included (numbered “7658k” on the base). Despite the mismatched numbers on the frame and receiver groups, this is still a truly nice “Black Widow” Police Luger that is not import marked, and would make a great addition to any collection.
