Description:
This 1900 dated bayonet remains in very good condition with light staining on the bright blade. Grips are held by rounded rivets and remains sound with an illegible number (923?) stamped in left grip. This comes in a scabbard with wide pivoting wire keeper (built 1899-1905) showing traces of blue under a mottled brown patina. the ball final is broken off the scabbard tip and seam shows a period brazed repair. A very good example with second style scabbard.
