Description:
Here is the famous Dougall Lockfast in 12 gauge. Royal appointment from the Prince of Wales with the Prince's insignia engraved on the top tang. London maker. A few interesting and historically significant bolting system with protruding bosses on the breech face and a cam system. Gun reatins much of original condition with no evidence of refinishing. Nice damascus pattern to barrels. Traces of case color of action. Good bore with a few remaining light pitts - overall not noticable. Typical Dougall Lockfast stock checkering pattern. Rebounding hammers. Chambers are 2 3/4". Gun was proofed at 12 with right bore at .728 and left at .729. Jug choking at muzzle with an effective choke of tight IC or loose Mod. Minimum wall thickness is 29/1000. Barrels are 30". Heel and toe plates. Weight of gun is 7 LBS 7 1/2 OZ. Shipping is $40 and can be sent directly as it is an antique. Stock dimensions follow.
