This is a very rare 1976 Winchester Palma Match rifle. In 1976 Winchester was commissioned to build 140 custom special model 70 rifles for the international Palma rifle matches being hosted by the USA. The rifles were made available to the competitors at the conclusion of the match. Chambered in 308, this rifle is in excellent original condition. These rifles had a special barrel stamp on the right side to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Palme Matches. Includes the set of Redfield international sights. It has the special adjustable trigger. Two Allen screws, located behind the bolt, allow you adjust the single stage trigger for both weight of pull and overtravel . The last one of these I can find that came up for sale was years ago at one of the large firearms houses. Please contact me if you would like more detailed information.
