The gun is pictured on page 159 of the book "Firearms Curiosa" by Lewis Winant. This is a very interesting item. It is truly a coin purse. One side opens by a lever and inside is a small pin fire 5-shot revolver. Only the muzzle is visible at the end of the purse. Purse measures 2-1/2 by 3-1/2". It has a brass frame design. On one side of the purse is the original velour lining and the other side is missing the lining with only the inside brass coin purse visible. Other than that, the gun is in near excellent condition with a trigger that drops down for activating the revolver. I believe these were made in Germany and only about 200 were produced. Unique disguised protection device. Leroy Merz Antique Firearms specializes in antique and vintage Winchesters and other fine American firearms.
