SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1816 FLINTLOCK MUSKET DATED 1832. As issued with exception of the sling swivels which have been removed and ramrod which is a modern good reproduction. Very good plus overall with crisp markings including matching dates (1832) on the barrel and lock plate. Lock also stamped “SPRING/FIELD” and “EAGLE/US”. Barrel proofed “V/P/EAGLEHEAD” and stamped “US”. Stock with two cartouches opposite the lock and one to the rear of the trigger guard. Lock in working order and had a good bore.
