Description:
This vintage Savage 1899 model has a 22" barrel chambered for the .250-3000 caliber, with a very good bore, clean rifling and some frosting in the grooves. Has a tang mounted Redfield peep sight, and a front blade sight. The blue remaining is about 95% on the barrel and possibly re-blued as it is a bright blue, and the frame has traces of blue but is mixed with mottled smooth brown. The American walnut stocks are good with a forend thin repaired age split that is stable and not open.And the plain buttstock has a couple field dings, and an applied Red Head rubber butt-pad.
