ORIGINAL COLT 3RD MODEL DRAGOON REVOLVER CIRCA 1854. .44 cal. six shot revolver serial numbered in the 13,7xx range and all matching except the wedge which is an unnumbered old replacement as is the wedge screw. 7 ½” barrel with ‘ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW YORK CITY” barrel address. Good “COLT’S/PATENT” stamp on the frame. All serial numbers visible and no restrikes. Metal with grey patina mixed with fine salt and pepper on barrel, frame and cylinder. Excellent brass straps. Original walnut grips with light to moderate wear. Working order and extra nice, bright bore with sharp rifling.
