Description:
The action is crisp timming is correct on the 5 shot pocket 31 Manhattan i would think this is the rarest of all the manhattans with less than3 doz in existance.the finish is a mottled brown patina mixed with blue and most blue in the protected areas. the wood grips show lightly rubbed varnish of 90 % with no chips cracks or missing peices. All markings are clear and sharp as well as cylinder scean is 95% . After carefuk research I have ascertained that Manhattan arms co made these from left over parts and that they were 2nds with may be a mistake in engraving .You can do some research and check the net and see ive yet to find another thats available....what i like about this one is its origininal and has not been played with or cleaned. All the marking are sharp and clear as are the patent dates on the trigger guard.
The serial # is 18x.........circa about 1860
