* * * SOLD ON HOLD PENDING FUNDS / Sharps New Model 1859 Rifle, This military rifle has a 30" barrel is serial # 55924 and 52 caliber. Bore is fair with good rifling but has pitting throughout. Metal surfaces are a brown patina with mottling. The stock and forend show a few light dings and dents but nothing alarming. There is a faint inspectors cartouche located midway above the trigger and just below the top strap on the left side of the rifle. The Patchbox shows spots of oxidation and a fine peppery pitting. The Lever shows graying mixing with patina and mottling. The Breechblock functions correctly. Rifle comes with original sights and swivels. The overall condition as described and shown in the photos is good. Inv.: # 21-145
