Description:
Serial #38587, 8mm Nambu, 4 1/2? barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Showa 19.5 dated pistol (May, 1944) that has matching numbers on all of the components (the matching numbered firing pin has been ground and the pistol will not currently fire). The metal retains 95-97% of the original blue finish with some spots of dark gray fading along the backstrap as well as mild silvering along the exposed edges and projections. The smaller components of this late-war pistol retain a commensurate amount of their original blue as well. The grooved grips are numbered to the gun and have numerous minor handling marks and small blemishes marring the original oil finish on both sides. The pistol has the magazine retention spring and comes with a single non-matching nickel magazine. Additionally, the pistol is housed in an original late-war rubberized canvas flap holster that is in excellent condition and comes with the cleaning rod/take-down tool. This is a very nice example of a late model Type 14 and is in very good condition overall. FFL or C&R
