Description: British baker flint rifle patt 1805 this piece has been partially restored for or by a former owner. The barrel is the correct 30 1/4" and overall length is 45 3/4" . The bore shows overall pitting but has strong rifling. The barrel shows 2 Birmingham commercial proofs and was reconverted to flint. The lock is an original government lock that remains in excellent condition showing an old re-finish and shows the crown broad arrow mark and the tower crown GR. The wood is all original with a few minor repairs and added finish. There are remnants of proofs at the base of the triggerguard and a 64 next to the side plate. All of the brass fittings are original except for the side plate. The rear sight and swivels are replacements as is the bayonet bar. The ramrod and front sight are original. Any baker is a difficult item to find for a British military collection. This piece is priced accordingly.
