Description:
Cogswell "Cosmos" Paradox Ejector, Self Opener was completed 9 March 1909.  As stated on the certificate of origin 27 1/2" Cogswell Length barrels with (3) platinum fold sights - 50, 100, 150 yards.  They have unusually nice engraved barrel bands and rib extention with blind Greener cross bolt.  These barrels were examined by Michael Merker Gunmaker.  Mike believe that the bores are original (.737) with very minimal blemishes  and the chokes and bores are untouched, with 99% blue.  The action, inspection plate, break lever and trigger gaurd have a bout 80%  coverage of crisp scroll engraving.  All screws are in excellent condition.  The stock is 14 1/2" LOP with "lined" butt.  Weight 7 1/4 pounds. The forearm and stock finish and checkering are excellent.  The "Cosmos" is kept in the original canvas and leather case with original oil bottle, snap caps, rod, chamber brush, jag and bore brush.  The handle and straps are in good condition.  Weight 71/4 pounds

This Cosmos serial #42975 is the Cosmos in "Cogswell & Harrison" Two Centuries of Gunmaking.  This book from year 2000 was written by Graham Couley & John Newton.
