Description:
A handsome old Winchester in the 76k serial range. Full oct bbl, full length mag tube and crescent butt plate. Cal 38-56. Very nice aging bbl blue. Nice sharp edges on the octagons and good markings. Globe front sight. Standard rear sight. Vernier style tang sight. The tang sight has more blue and may have been put on later. Receiver metal is very nice and mostly a grey color with some case colors in protected areas and hint of case colors on the sides. Nice smooth metal . Butt stock is VG+ with nice fit. Forearm is also VG+. Bore is bright and shiny. Strong rifling. No pitting. Slight roughness that may clean up. Overall bore cond VG-VG+. This is a good looking solid Winchester!
