Description:
Serial #94L8755, .303 British, 25? barrel with an excellent, bright, five-groove bore. This 1950 dated rifle has retained 92-95% of the original blue finish with some mild silvering at the muzzle and some of the high and projecting edges. There are some faint touches of a mellow plum-brown patina on a few spots as well. The matching numbered bolt has a bright body with blue still present along the handle and on the wide safety lug. A sheet metal CMk. 3 adjustable rear sight is fitted and there is a small unobtrusive import stamp on the top of the barrel at the muzzle. The forend and handguards have scattered light handling marks and minor blemishes in the original oil finish, heaviest around the butt, and a single unnumbered magazine is included which has a commensurate amount of the original matte blue remaining. This is one of the seldom seen group of Canadian-made No. 4s that were rifled on the BREN gun rifling machines which gave them the five grooves. This is a scarce and desirable No. 4 variant, in fine-excellent overall condition, perfect for any Canadian, Commonwealth, or Korean War collection. {Ref.
