Description:
This set of American Made dueling pistols by Richardson of Philadelphia, Pa. that came from the collection of Sammy Davis Jr. I have the documentation from his wife after he had passed away. This is a pair of 54 cal. percussion Dueling Pistols. They are in Excelent condition for thier age. The Barrels are smoth and have a beautiful patina on them. Both barrels are numbered 1A with 0378S and they each have a Belgium unfurnished barrel proof as well as a British Black Powder proof. They are marked on the top "Philadelphia". The bores are clean and not pitted. The wood is nice with a few cracks from drying out. The Lock is engraved with Floral designs and the maker's name "Richardson" as well as having a safety. The butt of the handle has a nice engraved cap and a door for cap storage. The triggers apear to be adjustable. The wooden case is of modern construction I had made for these pistols. Overall a very nice set of American Dueling Pistols that belong to a famous "Rat Packer" Sammy Davis Jr.
