This is the Remington Model 1816 "Eliphalet Remington II" Commemorative. This model was manufactured in limited numbers to commemorate the founding of the Remington Firearms Company back in 1816. This is the same pattern as the first rifle built by Remington. This is a .50 caliber weapon with a "39" octagon barrel. The rifle was built using the "old school" techniques.
