1863 tripplet & Scott civil war saddle ring carbine...Kentucky marked..War of the northern aggression...in NRA very good condition..this carbine is in at least 85% original condition...good case colors...very nice wood... No shrinking...no crack in butstock....very good plus blueing...clear stock cartouche on sids ..bore is perfect with no pitting at all...metal to wood finish is tight..rear sight is in good condition ...gun has never been enhanced... Totally original ... Just as it left the arsenal...Butplate is not rusted or pitted but turning patina...truely a center pice in your civil war carbine collection..it will be very hard and costly to upgrade this carbine...pictures do not do this carbine justice...much better in person...IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS CARBINE SEND IT BACK...YOU WILL NOT HURT MY FEELINGS...Union not confederate...North not south...civil war era carbine...not winchester, s&w, frank wesson, jenks, henry, josyln, spencer, sharps & hankins, cosmopolitain, burnside , ballard, colt, gallagher, greene!
