Description:
Serial #6677a, 9mm, 4? barrel with a fine, bright bore that has traces of light freckling starting to form within the grooves. This is a 1912 dated pistol with all matching numbers that retains 95-97% of the original blue finish that has silvered slightly at the muzzle and along a few of the high edges and projections The trigger, take-down lever, magazine release, safety, and ejector have retained 75-80% of the original straw color, mostly on the right side of the pistol, and have bright gray on the balance. The original checkered wooden grips are both numbered to the gun on the interior and have light-moderate wear with flattening of the points on both sides, mainly around the butt and along the leading edges. A single non-matching wooden base magazine is included (with a small chip along the edge of one finger grip) and the pistol rates fine condition overall. Erfurt-made Lugers are generally well used and it is very unusual to find one with such a high degree of original finish remaining. This example would make a great addition to any collection.
