Description:
Serial #62071, .380 ACP, 3 7/8” barrel with a very good bore that has some light freckling within the grooves. This is a pre-war, Hungarian marked pistol that has retained 80-85% of the original dark blue finish with some fading and silvering at the muzzle and on the high and projecting edges. The grooved wooden grips are in very good plus condition with only a few small handling marks and blemishes marring the original varnish on either side. The pistol is equipped with the rarely seen milled barrel which has three longitudinal cuts along the length of the barrel that terminate just behind the spacing lug at the muzzle. The reason for this modification is unknown, as is the organization that requested it. What is known is that very few 37M pistols have been observed with the milled barrel. A single original finger-rest magazine (which matches the condition of the pistol perfectly) is included. This is a fantastic example of a rare and seldom seen variant of the Femaru Model 37M and is in very good-near fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
