Description: Serial #94C0268, .303 British, 25" barrel with a good bore that has freckling and light pitting along the last 1/3 of the barrel. This Chicopee-made, Lend-Lease rifle has retained about 85-90% of an arsenal added black Suncorite finish that has some silvering at the muzzle and along the exposed projections and high points where the finish has worn through. The matching numbered bolt has a bright gray body with fading and some plum-brown freckling on the handle and the Mk. 3 stamped aperture rear sight also has a few miniscule specks of freckling. There is no import mark present. The handguards and matching numbered forend have an overall dark brown armory-added varnish with numerous small handling marks and blemishes throughout while the buttstock has been refinished to fine shape with a slightly lighter colored varnish throughout. The original matching numbered magazine is included which has a commensurate amount of Suncorite and original blue remaining. This is a handsome, U.S.-made rifle and rates very good-near fine condition overall. {Ref.
