MERKEL Model 280EL SPECIAL ... 28 gauge ... 28" barrels ... choked IC/Mod ... 1 1/2" drop b ... 2 3/8" drop heel ... 14 3/8" LOP w/ 1/8" cast off ... weight 5 lbs 6 oz ... double triggers.
This gun has been magnificently hand engraved by 'Silke Henke'. The right side features 3 quail flying in a wooded glade. The left side has 4 grouse in a field scene. The remainder of the receiver including the trigger guard and tang are covered in a bold Germanic scroll. Action is double bolted under with KERSTEN top bolt. The stock is the best quality European walnut I have ever seen. The upgraded wood is full golden fiddleback with counter current dark brown swirls. The gold oval inlay on the lower stock, ahead of the checkered butt, can be personalized as you wish. The perfection oil finish perfectly sets off the uniqueness of this peice of wood. plete with Merkel box.
