It appears that this rifle has been reblued about 50 some years ago.
Original wood stock with SN inside stock matching SN on tang.
Wood stock is solid with light scratches on the left side. The bottom of forearm has a little 1/8" wood sliver missing.
I think everything is in fine working condition although the rifle has not been fired in at least 45 yrs. It has been well oiled while stored. No rust or pitting. It looks like the wood stock had a clear coating put on it and I see faint marks in the wood stock, probably from being wrapped in a blanket for so many years.
