Description:
1886 Winchester Takedown Rifle in 33 caliber. Serial number 143,xxx manufactured in 1906. 24" round barrel and 1/2 mag retains 85 to 90% original blue with some marks, wear, and fading. I will rate the bore an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. Special order front sight and Lyman receiver sight (code N). Takedown is tight and action functions very nicely. Still some nice case colors on hammer and lever. All markings nice and sharp. Screws are in great condition. Receiver retains 75 to 80% original blue, with the main loss on belly / upper tang. Both forend and buttstock are in great condition, never sanded or refinished in anyway. Buttstock shows some handling marks and there is a tiny nicely stamp F behind lower tang. Very toe of buttplate is chipped off (see pic). It has not affected the wood, all the wood is present, just the hard rubber buttplate lost a tiny piece. Please feel free to call me at 315-374-3706.
