Remington UMC Model 5i, Caliber .380 ACP, Serial Number PA 230XX, Inv 5263.
A super attic queen with the original box. This gun was designed by the famous Irwin Pedersen. It uses a unique delayed recoil system as used in in gun of greater power (See description in Wikipedia). This particular gun has been in the original box from the late 1920s. The condition is borderline factory new. Retaining 99.9% original factory blue. Just the slightest sharp edge and muzzle silvering. The grips straps have not grayed and grip safety is also perfect with no rub marks. There are no pits rust or flakes anywhere. The magazine release and safety lever show also 99.9% of the original fire blue. The feed ramp and the bolt face show little if any use. The black Bakelite grips like the rest of the gun are beautiful. The bore is sunshine bright and sharp as a tack. There does not appear to show any use. In addition the gun and the box have both been well cared for. There is one corner of the box that has been repaired in internally. The exterior has some small pieces missing from the corners. You would be very hard pressed indeed to find a nicer one, certainly not at this modest price. $1195.
