Description:
This is a James Purdey and Sons Best Shotgun in 16 Gauge. The receiver has a cased hardened finish, with elegant floral engraving covering all sides of the receiver. The receiver shows some signs of wear, use and aging. The barrels are 26" in length, with a solid rib on top and a flued finish. The blued finish on the barrels shows signs of wear, use, and thinning, with some of the bluing turning plum. The buttstock and forearm are made from fancy Walnut, and are hand checkered in the wrist and forearm. The buttstock has some scratches, impressions, and dings from wear and use. The forearm has a slight chip where it meets with the barrels on the left side, and some slight scratches from wear and use. This fine shotgun comes with the hard leather case, including cleaning accessories.
