This is a classic “old school” custom rifle that was made by a gentleman named Al Mart who lived in Lincoln, NE. Al was a world champion small bore pistol shooter and for many years a well know gunsmith in the Lincoln area. I knew Al and the person for who this rifle was made was a good friend of mine. It started with a commercial Mauser 98 action. I believe that it has a Sako adjustable trigger, (regardless it is a fine trigger). The bolt knob is checkered and the bolt is polished and engine turned. There is a B&L variable scope on a BalVar mount. Bolt safety. 20” carbine barrel. Handsome grained walnut Mannlicher stock with skip line checkering and right hand cheek piece.. 14 ¼” LOP and good dimensions. Weighs 8 lbs. 8 oz. with scope. A fine rifle in an interesting configuration. SOLD |
