14-174 COLT PERCUSSION (PRE-1899)--Colt 1849 POCKET MODEL
Colt 1849 Pocket Model Percussion Revolver Civil War era Serial # 15138 all matching including wedge, 5” Barrel, 6 shot as frame etc. Standard markings are very clear and readable, address Samuel Colt New York City. Gun is in very fine condition, Finish has thinned out and is very light, on Barrel, cylinder frame, hammer, cylinder scene is all there and sharp, gripes have almost all the original varnish, very fine. Frame has case colors but silvered out, trigger guard and back strap have 95% + of the original silver plating. Barrel & cylinder both have British proof marks. The gun works fine mechanically, locks up tight when cocked; the bore has 90% of the rifling and very little corrosion and chambers looks good. An authentic Civil War Era Colt. A very fine condition early 1849 Colt. (14-174)
