The S&W K-38 Combat Masterpiece Revolver is a derivitive of the classic l899 K-Frame military and police .38 S&W Special. It's a 6 sho5t, double action revolver. In l957 the K-38 Combat Masterpiece was renamed the model 15 when all S&W revolvers were given numbers. This particular revolver is the Model 15-4 which was manufactured between l977 and l982. The condition of this revolver is near mint and has been in its box for the past 30 years. The box is the only part of this sale that shows any wear. This revolver was purchased over 30 years ago from an LAPD Lt. It was never used by him as his service revolver.
