#4991 Colt 1878 D/A 7-1/2”x44WCF with VG+ bore (about a 7+ on a scale of 10) and good action although slightly sticky on S/A mode, 21XXX serial range and thus being made in 1888. Original factory nickel is about 60-70% intact with remainder being smooth grey brown metal. The “CFSS” rolled die panel is fully visible. The standard hard rubber grips have about 15% wear and look to have had a repair to one of the pilot pin areas (see photos). The very often missing lanyard ring is intact. A very decent big frame double action Colt in well above average condition. VG++/Fine. $1795
