Description:
Serial #76L6134, .303 British, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This Canadian-made rifle has retained about 90-95% of the Suncorite finish that has flaked to the underlying on the exposed projections and high points. The balance of the metal has a mixed plum-brown and gray patina while the matching numbered bolt has a streaked, bright gray body with gray fading and some freckling on the handle. Import mark present on the side of the receiver. The handguards and matching numbered forend have an overall dark brown armory-added varnish over numerous small handling marks and surface blemishes throughout and an Ishapore style through bolt has been fitted just ahead of the receiver. A fine Savage-Stevens magazine is included and the micrometer rear sight is installed. This is a fine example of a Canadian No. 4 rifle and would make a nice addition to a collection. {Ref.
