Description:
This is a #2 frame gun built in 1904. The barrels are Titanic Steel and show strong, 90%+ bluing along the entire length. The bores are bright and shiny. Scant traces of color remain, with strongest showings on the water table, under the top lever, and in the vignette on the floor plate. The color is also strong in the metal mechanics of the forearm. Trigger guard color has browned to a warm patina. Unique and fine quality engraving is done in a floral theme, and is still crisp and raised to the touch. The wood is in good condition. The stock was apparently refinished at the time that a break at the wrist was repaired. All serial numbers are matching, and the action is nice and tight. The pistol grip is capped and inscribed "J. V. B. S.
