Fascinating Martini,with proofs on the lever, trigger guard, the barrel. and frame. Markings on the frame: V.R. B.S.A. & M. Co. 1889.The finish and fit is very wll done,and original. Blueing is 90%, with fading and may be an arseanl reblue long ago! Functions very well, and the bore on the 26"carbine barrel is a very clean and has strong rifling but with typical roughness in grooves froom militarry corrosive primers.The gun doesn't show much useage, The hardwood stock is also very good.This short lever Martini rifle is an interesting variation for the British Martini collector. This not a recent import, and doesn't look like someone sat on the ground with a hand file to make this gun. English walnut stocks have numerous proofs . Many were converted and saw service in New Zealand military. We don’t have asite .I prefer money orders or a check. Item ships when funds come in. If you can only pay with a card let me know.
