Description:
The factory letter states that this Service Model Ace was shipped on June 14, 1945 to the US Govt. Officer in Charge Naval Supply Depot in Norfolk in a shipment of 800 guns. It is serial number SM7279 was shipped as .22 long rifle with 5" barrel, Parko-Lubrite finish and molded plastic grips. We took this gun apart and compared each part to Clawson's book and every single part is correct including the magazine, sights, un-numbered slide, a small parts, etc, etc. Aside for a little high edge storage wear, the gun retains at least 97% of the Lubrite Parkerized finish. The bore and action are like new. Getting harder to find a real Navy shipped Ace that has not been butchered and this is an excellent example.
