Description:
Mauser custom sporting rifle in 300 Winchester Magnum. This is a classic “old school” custom rifle that was made by a gentleman named Al Mart who lived in Lincoln, NE. Al was a world champion small bore pistol shooter and for many years a well know gunsmith in the Lincoln area. I knew Al and the person for who this rifle was made was a good friend of mine. It started with a commercial Mauser 98 action. It has an after market very fine adjustable trigger. The bolt knob is checkered and the bolt is polished and engine turned. There is a Redfield 3-9 variable scope. Trigger safety. 22” barrel. Handsome grained walnut stock with skip line checkering and right hand cheek piece. 14 ¼” LOP and good dimensions. Weighs 8 lbs. 10 oz. with scope. A fine rifle in an interesting configuration and there is a gold ram on the floor plate.
