Description:
Extra nice 1st gen Colt single action for the collector/shooter. Mfg 1922, Colt letter incl, verifing configuration. 90% original blue with wear areas on back strap, trigger guard and muzzle. Bolt drags on cylinder. Near 100% case color on frame. Sharp edges, clear markings with matching numbers including original mint hard rubber grips. Bore is excellent. This Colt has not been fired very much but shows handling wear over the years. Action/timing is sharp, crisp and tight. Shooting (smokeless ammo) in these 1st Gen Colt SA is a great experience and safe with post 1912 guns. Reduced loads are recomened, however. Included is a Colt (2nd Gen) cylinder that has been milled .025" from the back to accept 45 ACP half-moon clips. 2 clips are incl. less ammo. I have shot 45 ACP with this Colt and it functions just fine with factory ammo. Note: Reloaded 45 ACP also works fine, but the cases must be re-sized and the primers well seated. (Standard re-loading procedure) Poorly seated primers can obstruct the cylinder rotation. 3 day non-firing inspection. Buyer pays all shipping. FFL or C&R, OK. 90% refund of sale price if returned.
