Estimated to have been made around 1810. Has a lanyard ring and a very strong action. The trigger guard and butt cap are brass along with several other brass accents. The metal shows the remains of a brown finish, The wood is in very good condition with no splits or cracks . . Overall condition is very good. Aproximately .70 caliber, with a 9" barrel and a 15" overall length. There is an "ELG" proof mark on the left side of the barrel opposite the frizzen and a crowned proof mark on the right side of the lock just forward of the hammer. This is a heavy military pistol, designed to do maximum damage and to be used as a club when necessary. Antique- No FFL required.
